Fund Mandate

Accelerate7 invests in scalable companies that expand access to clean, reliable, and affordable energy across various regions specifically, South East Asia, South Asia and Africa further enabling the growth of SDG 7 which is to ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable, and modern energy for all by 2030.

The Fund targets growth stage companies across emerging markets, backing purpose driven businesses that accelerate the transition towards a more resilient and sustainable energy future. Focused across three core sectors including energy access, clean cooking solutions, and energy access enablers, Accelerate7 seeks to scale commercially viable solutions that improve access to affordable and reliable energy for underserved households, businesses, and communities

Accelerate7 is designed to deliver both financial returns and measurable impact.

This fund operates in partnership with Lightrock who are deploying investments into South Asia & Africa.

Energy Access in SEA

Southeast Asia has made significant progress on electrification, with grid connectivity reaching ~98–99% across most markets. However, access alone does not guarantee reliable, affordable, or high-quality energy. Rural and remote communities, particularly across archipelagic markets such as Indonesia and the Philippines, continue to face inconsistent service, high energy costs, and infrastructure constraints.

These gaps create an opportunity for distributed and clean energy solutions to strengthen energy resilience, affordability, and long-term sustainability across the region. Supporting both first-time access and meaningful improvements in energy usage in line with SDG 7.
